Sexuality: Bisexual, though shows no real sexual preference at all.
Appearance: Pale-skinned and raven-haired, Itachi is undeniably attractive. He tends to wear his hair down and just past his shoulders. His eyes are almost constantly the brilliant, swirling red of his sharingan, and he is generally a somber, almost foreboding sort of individual. Dressed primarily in the black-red robes of the Akatsuki, the clothes he wears underneath that are black, and he is oft-seen wearing fishnet.

Personality: Itachi is a calm, calculating individual whose emotions are not often displayed. Blatantly manipulative when necessary, he is known to avoid outright confrontation, and would rather not fight at all, and when he must, he tends to deal with the conflict swiftly and without mercy. A stationary fighter, he uses his techniques from one position…with a seemingly emotionless deliberation.

Abilities/Strengths: First and foremost is the Sharingan, a power latent in the Uchiha clan. The power resides in the eyes and there are many rumors circulating about it…some of them rather foreboding, though Itachi himself may be the source of those tales. It possesses several abilities, including the power to copy any technique presented to it. However, the Sharingan cannot copy a technique or ability that is genetically passed down, and it also cannot summon creatures in which it has not made a contract with.

It also has a subtle form of hypnosis in addition to being able to track objects moving so swiftly that the naked human eye would be unable to compensate.

Itachi also possesses the most powerful form of this ability, the Mangakyou Sharingan, which he used to slay his best friend.
Itachi is very skilled with genjutsu. Itachi's skill with genjutsu is such that he can trap others with illusion by merely pointing or looking at them.


Weapons: Itachi generally fights without any physical weapons, using only his abilities, such as the sharingan and various jutsu…as well as more unorthodox uses for his chakra.

Weaknesses: Itachi’s power-lust often gets the better of him, spiraling out of control and causing him to act rashly…though this doesn’t happen often. Sometimes the reverse happens as well. Content to lie in wait and watch nearly to the point of apathy, Itachi sometimes just lets things pass him by…whether or not this is a character flaw has been disputed.

He is also a defensive fighter, rarely going on the offensive and only using his skills to avoid damage.

The Mangakyou Sharingan includes two very powerful jutsu…but using either one of them exhausts him to the point where if he has not won the fight, he must retreat. Using them both in succession forces him to deactivate his sharingan.

Sasuke is also a weakness to him. Whether or no he knows all the details of what has befallen his brother, the older Uchiha in inextricably bound to the younger. Believing him dead, Itachi has become somewhat lost in his focus and his goals. However, the relationship they share, twisted though it may be, has a great hold on him.


History: Uchiha Itachi was the prodigy of the Uchiha clan, with such impressive skills that much of the attention of his family was focused towards him, putting him in the spotlight and leaving his younger brother Sasuke, somewhat out of the picture. He grew rapidly in his skills, both the powers inherent to his clan and others as well.

However, he was power-hungry, and began to distance himself from friends and family…the only one he occasionally paid attention to was his younger sibling…and even that relationship was strained.

Then his best friend died, a death that Itachi himself was suspect in…but before rumors could be confirmed, Itachi slaughtered his entire clan in one night, presumably to test his powers…leaving only Sasuke alive. Confronting his younger brother at that time, he urges Sasuke to hate him…and use that hatred to become strong enough to avenge the entire clan. Whether this was a desire for his own eventual death…or simply more manipulation on Itachi’s part is uncertain.

At some point he joined with the Akatsuki, an organization of ninjas outcast for their crimes, intent on eventual domination of the entire territory and the known world…perfect for someone with ambitions as strong as Itachi. However, between Sasuke’s entanglements with Orochimaru, and the subsequent events that followed, Itachi has wandered off on his own, breaking off from the group without saying a word.

Now his purposes are unknown…and he has nothing left to search for. His continued rivalry with Sasuke seems now to be at an end, with the rumors of the younger Uchiha’s death circulating. Perhaps Itachi is out to discover the truth for himself. Whatever the reason, it is during these wanderings that he is pulled into Econtra.
